Well, a lot of ppl especially girls invest in a lot of beauty products.
For smoother and fairer skin...
No zit in sight...
Anti wrinkle cream... etc etc...
And of course, buying all those will sum up equivalent to you buying a car.
Hehe ok, a bit exaggerated.. but the point is... they aren't cheap!
One day (I forgot which day exactly), we (Ai Ting, Jia Min, Hui Ching and me) were talking in a car I think. Then they mentioned about this 'bedak sejuk'.
Ai Ting said it was a northern practice/tradition...
I couldn't recall at that moment...
After thinking hard with their description and all, only I remember...
It's a type of powder I used to play with when I was really very young...
Haha it was nice to play with as we need to add some water to it and then cover it all over on our face. Much better than regular powder.
So these below are some examples of 'bedak sejuk':

So these below are some examples of 'bedak sejuk':
The left one is bigger and odorless, the right one is smaller and has a pretty bad smell to it.
I tried the left one which I found at home and didn't really like it as I feel it's more harder to dissolve in water and no smell, I didn't feel like I had it on my face because can't really feel it... Maybe I was too used to the right one or the one at home was left for quite some time already.
The right one was bought in Tronoh. RM2.80 is darn cheap as it can last you for a year or more!
Although the smell can be a problem at times, once you're used to it you won't feel anything.
What I found out at home:
My mom helped my grandmother last time to make these powder.
It's not easy to make it because you'll need to ferment the rice and change the water regularly for a period of time. The best would be to ferment for a year!
And according to my mom, the smellier it is, means better effect. Because it shows that they ferment it longer.

This is the one from the right bottle bought from Tronoh. Smaller and it stinks.
Haha but I got used to it now.
Good points of using this are:
- Oil free face whole day... as long as you didn't wash it off...
- Make your skin smoother and glow...
- Less pimples since it makes your face oil free...
Well for the price of RM2.80, isn't it a good deal?
=D
