There goes the trolley!

Something really funny happened yesterday.

I went groceries shopping with both my sisters, Shanny and Annie. So we bought 2 boxes of 1.5L of water, several Colgate mouthwash (it was cheap so we took quite a few), eggs, apples and oranges and few other stuffs.

So we had the 2 boxes of drinks in the front part of the trolley. After we've decided to head back home, we hop on the travelator. So at the end of the travelator, there's a slight hump before the trolley could go up straight on the floor. So guess what?

Yes, our trolley got stuck there. Shanny was pushing the trolley and both Annie and me couldn't stop ourselves from pushing her since the travelator is moving! And the next thing we know, the trolley fell with its front facing the ground (90 degree) - one box of the water and several items flew everywhere.

So we couldn't stop laughing while picking up some of the stuffs. Remember I mentioned we bought eggs? Luckily it didn't fell off the trolley, so I took and put it aside first. Luckily behind us there were only 1-3 people with light things. Our trolley is still in the way of the travelator when suddenly Annie said, there's another trolley coming.

So we pulled the trolley (still the front side on the ground) with all our strength to aside. We haven't got the chance to lift it properly yet. Another box of water and fruits are still inside the trolley, which makes it even heavier to lift it up.

So at times like these, how we wish there is a knight in shining armor to our rescue right? But at that very moment, we never thought about that and just wanted to quickly put everything back in the proper position.

That's when suddenly, a young guy about in his 20s came to our rescue. He tried lifting the trolley alone but was too heavy. So Shanny and me helped pull the front end up and we managed to get the trolley back in position.

So first thing that came across our minds was that the young guy had helped us with the trolley. So one would think that he will just leave after that. But no, he didn't leave just yet and went over to help Annie carry the other box of water laying on the floor.

Isn't he just nice? Not to say we are desperate for help but in that situation, several ppl passed by and just walked off minding their own business. There was a guy in his 30-40s who passed by. He was definitely big size and looked like he has strength but he never offered help. Meanwhile, the young guy who helped us is quite small build and thin. He may not be strong but the important thing is that he offered help with his best effort.

After going through all that, I did questioned myself - Will I help others in need, when I see people fall or perhaps in my own situation like yesterday? I definitely would! And will never fail to do so. Helping each other in times of need is something we should practice always, no matter who the person is.
