Poornima's Surprise Party!!!

Well...sorry for the late update... kind of caught up with other things lately @@... Gomen gomen...

Anyway, last Friday I received a call from Sue Shen asking me to join them for Poornima's birthday party... I was kind of blur and I asked is it her birthday? She told me "Nope... actually her birthday has passed like last 2 months but we decided to celebrate with her since it's her 21st birthday!" ...

Yup and Poornima isn't always in Malaysia since she has to go back to India to pursue her studies... and most of us too weren't always in SP since our sem breaks sometimes differ...

And then Saturday noon I received another call from Sue Shen saying that we need to go Central Square(supermarket) to get her a gift! So we headed out earlier to search a gift for Poornima...

We walked and walked... and then we came to a stall and they had lovely pendants, chains and other necklaces... After looking here and there... undecidable... even the guy at the counter switched with an older woman since he wasn't able to convince us with their items.

At the end, both Sue Shen and me agreed to a lovely necklace... and we really hope Poornima loves it! Of course, it's from the 4 of us - Sue Shen, Shin Na, Jeevithra and me!

Shin Na picked us up and then picked Jeevithra and we headed to the birthday gurl's home... but she wasn't around... Seems like she was dragged out by Jo-Lynn and their teacher...

Heard from Poornima that Jolynn had been feeding her all day long! Lol!

The birthday girl arrived... Yup... that's one happy and shocking look!
She walked right in thinking there's a celebration for Father's Day... but when she looked around... she was thinking wasn't all of those people her friends??? Lol... Ok shocked shocked!

Proceed on with the singing of 'Birthday' song, wishing, blowing the candles and cutting the cakes...

Especially for the birthday gurl! With lots of love! Hehe... Ok... everyone caught up with the singing and cutting cake and all... so most of us forgot to look over for the BBQ~~

Jo-Lynn! Our BBQ master... she was taking care of the BBQ after that! So glad to have her there! XD~~ hehe... of course everyone did helped around a bit here and there lol... *whistles*

Then it was hot outside + mosquitoes... we went inside... I haven't been to her house since standard 5! Only once too... during Deepavali... XD

These are the 2 friends that I haven't met ever since Standard 5! Purani and Sangeet... When they first walked in... I was thinking who are they... after I looked at them awhile... Oh!!!... Sorry but I can only recall Sangeet... because I find her very familiar... because she looks the same when she was a young girl back then! Her voice doesn't change too... XD~ ...

After coming back home... I thought deeply and I think... hehe I can finally recall Purani... It rings a bell in my head awhile... kinda blur though... I recall her a bit... but anyway I'm glad we met up there!

All of us who were there... From left - Sangeet, Shin Na, Jo-Lynn, Poornima, me, Sue Shen, Jeevithra, Purani... the one sitting is their secondary school teacher...
and not to forget Poornima's 2 sisters... Sudha and Geethanjali... who helped us with the pictures!

Was supposed to eat this after awhile! But everyone went back and forgot about it... Sorry Poornima! Looks like you got more ice-creams to finish! =D

And I had fun listening to all about their secondary life... It is really great and interesting to listen to their stories... and I wasn't bored =)

I had most of this whole night! Hehe... since it's just in front of me... I couldn't stop eating... I ate most of the Cheezels... hehe..wonder how many packets are in there!...fat already!!! @.@

It was really nice to get together again sometime like this! I enjoyed it a lot... It does bring back a lot of memories... and I enjoyed listening to their secondary school life... it was fun! =)

And yup... this birthday party was also an all girls party! =)
Just like a reunion for me...
